CRM & GODESK · PRACTICAL GUIDE

I already have a CRM. Where does GoDesk fit?

Keep the CRM or ERP you use and connect customer calls, messages, agent work and follow-up where they add value.

Start with the gap in the customer workflow

A CRM may already hold contacts, deals and account history. The next question is how your team receives calls and messages, shares them, records what happened and follows through. GoDesk is useful where those parts of the operation need to be connected.

You do not have to replace a working CRM to discuss GoDesk. You can choose business telephony, contact centre or customer engagement capabilities and agree how they should connect to your current system.

Keep the system that owns the business record

Your CRM may remain responsible for contacts and opportunities. Your ERP may own orders, invoices or account balances. GoDesk can handle calls, connected messages and operational work, using the information exchanged through the integration.

Decide which system is authoritative for each record. For example, a collections team can work supplied account information in GoDesk while the lending system continues to process payments and send payment updates.

Connect more than the start of the call

A useful integration may let an agent call from a customer record or see context when a customer calls. It should also consider the result: where the activity is stored, who gets the follow-up and which status changes are needed.

GoDesk provides API, webhook and embedded communication options. An API lets software exchange supported records. A webhook notifies another system about a supported event. An embedded tool puts calling or chat into the application screen. The interfaces and scope must be confirmed for your specific system.

Already use Zoho? Keep it connected

GoDesk integrates with Zoho CRM to sync contacts, accounts, leads and deals in the direction you choose. Completed call outcomes and notes, tasks, meetings and opportunity notes can go to paired Zoho records. For example, your team can finish a customer call in GoDesk and keep the outcome with the relevant Zoho record.

Zoho Desk support tickets can sync both ways, including status updates through resolution. Connect Zoho Calendar for meetings and availability, with a Zoho Meeting link where your plan supports it. Connect your Zoho Mail account to send email from GoDesk as yourself and optionally keep emails with contacts on their timeline. Choose the records, activities and permissions during setup.

Choose the modules that add value

A business that only needs staff extensions may start with cloud PBX. A support team may need shared channels and ticket ownership. A sales team may need calling campaigns and outcomes connected to its CRM. A lender may need a collections workflow rather than another general contact list.

If you do not already have a suitable CRM, GoDesk also offers its own sales CRM, customer records, tickets, quotes and tasks. The choice should follow the work you need to organise.

Bring one process to the integration discussion

Bring the name of your current system, the customer records involved and an example of what staff do today. Show which steps are manual or lose information. Ask to demonstrate the full process and its exception cases.

An available API does not mean every CRM or ERP already has a ready-made connector. Agree implementation, record matching, access and monitoring before treating the integration as a completed capability for your business.
