CLOUD PBX · PRACTICAL GUIDE

Cloud PBX for offices and branches: business calls without an on-premise PBX server

Choose desk, mobile or web phones, connect your offices and use GoDesk SIP lines or your own compatible SIP provider.

Move the phone system into a managed cloud service

A business may simply need staff extensions, a main number, call transfers, voicemail and a menu that directs callers to the right department. It does not need to operate a contact centre to use GoDesk.

GoDesk hosts and manages the cloud PBX. Your business uses the phone system without buying and maintaining an on-premise PBX server. Your chosen phones, internet connection and suitable local network still form part of the setup.

Connect head office, branches and remote staff

Use one business phone system across locations. Organise extensions, incoming routes and business hours around your departments and branches. Staff can use compatible IP desk phones, mobile phones or browser-based phones.

If you already have IP phones, start by checking compatibility rather than assuming every device must be replaced. GoDesk reviews the phones and network requirements during setup.

Choose the connection to the telephone network

A SIP connection carries calls between the PBX and the telephone network. You can use GoDesk SIP lines or bring a compatible SIP service from your preferred provider. Agree number requirements, routing and usage charges before rollout.

Avoid treating the PBX software and call usage as the same purchasing decision. The proposal should make clear which service manages the phone system and which charges cover the calling connection.

Add contact centre features when you need them

An organisation can use GoDesk for office and branch calling and add contact centre tools for its customer-facing team. That can include queues, progressive campaigns, messaging, workforce management and reports.

Start a demonstration with your locations, extension count, phones and SIP arrangement. Then decide whether you need PBX only or PBX with contact centre capabilities.
