Choose one workflow before connecting everything
Start with the business action you want to support: calling from a customer record, creating a follow-up task, sharing a ticket update or supplying collection account and payment data.
GoDesk can connect to other CRMs and ERPs through agreed interfaces. A clear first workflow makes the data and responsibilities easier to define. For Zoho, GoDesk provides CRM record sync, activity updates and Zoho Desk ticket sync, alongside connections for Zoho Calendar, Meeting and Mail. Choose the records and activities your team needs rather than turning on everything.
Decide which system owns the record
Your CRM may own the contact and opportunity. Your ERP may own the account or service transaction. GoDesk may handle the conversation and associated operational work. Define ownership so updates do not compete.
Match record identifiers and customer environments before testing. For collections, the source financial system retains payment processing and the financial record; GoDesk uses agreed updates for account work and reporting.
Plan records, events and embedded tools
Use APIs for supported record exchange, webhooks for event notification and embedded calling or chat where the application needs communications on screen. Agree access, event verification, retry behaviour and operational monitoring with the technical team.
An available API does not automatically make every workflow a ready-made connector. Confirm the interfaces and implementation needed for the specific CRM or ERP.
Test both normal work and exceptions
Validate the successful flow and what happens when a record is missing, an update is delayed or a delivery fails. Agree how the team will identify and resolve those situations.
Bring your current system, the records involved and the action you want to connect to the first integration discussion.
