Start with a purpose and a relevant audience
A useful campaign has a reason to reach a particular customer group. An order update and a promotional offer need different messages, audiences and follow-up.
Define the outcome
Decide what the customer should know or do, and what your team must do when they reply.
Choose the audience
Use relevant customer data and permission records. Exclude people who have opted out. Avoid sending the same offer to every contact.
Prepare and test
Check approved templates, personalisation and links. Test a draft with authorised recipients before scheduling the campaign.
Plan replies and review results
Assign the team that handles replies. Review sending results and the resulting enquiries or sales work. Improve the next campaign from what you learn.
GoDesk message campaigns connect audience selection, personalised messages, scheduling and reply handling to the customer work that follows.
Understand message categories
Meta distinguishes marketing, utility, authentication and service messages. A promotion is marketing; an update about an agreed transaction can be utility; authentication covers verification codes. Meta determines the category and applicable charges.
Adding a promotional offer to a transaction update can change its classification. Have the message reviewed for its intended purpose before sending.
Separate the platform cost from message usage
GoDesk adds a US$0.005 messaging fee to each unit Meta charges for. Under Meta’s current model, this is per chargeable delivered message. Messages for which Meta makes no charge do not attract this additional GoDesk messaging fee. Both Meta’s published message rates and this GoDesk messaging fee are stated in US dollars.
Your proposal also identifies the agreed workspace, modules, setup, support and applicable taxes. These are separate from the messaging fee.
Meta pricing depends on the recipient market and message category, with charges applied to delivered messages. Meta publishes charging rules and exemptions for eligible message types. Check the current rules for your category and recipient market. A zero Meta message charge does not make workspace access, setup or other GoDesk services free.

What should we include in a budget?
- The number of users and connected business numbers.
- The expected audience size, recipient countries and campaign frequency.
- The mix of marketing, transaction updates and customer replies.
- Setup, agreed customisation and CRM or ERP integration work.
- The people who will answer replies and complete the resulting work.
Ask for the Meta usage estimate and GoDesk charges as separate lines so you can compare the complete cost.
Ask for a usage estimate based on your own scenario. Agree how usage will be reviewed before expanding the audience or frequency.
