Where to find these settings
Open Settings from the Admin section of the menu. Settings is laid out in the order a workspace is usually set up: Workspace, Company, Users & access, Channels & messages, Routing & service levels, and then one group for each kind of work.
The Company group and Business hours are for admins. If you cannot see them, ask someone with the Admin role to change your role.
Use the Find a setting box at the top of the Settings menu to jump to any page by name, for example logo, time zone or holiday.
Fill in your company profile
In Settings, open Company & branding under Company.
Under Company profile, fill in the Registered name, KRA PIN / VAT number, Phone, Email, Website and Address.
Use How to pay for your payment details, for example your M-Pesa Paybill and account instructions, and your bank details.
These details are set once and used everywhere: in the app and on the documents you send customers, such as quotes and invoices. A quote template only needs its own details where they differ from your company profile.
Add your logo and brand colour
On the same page, under Logo, select Upload logo and choose a JPG, PNG, WebP or SVG file of up to 2 MB. Your logo is shown in the menu and on your workspace's sign-in page. Use Replace or Remove to change it later.
Under Brand color, pick one of the preset colours or open the custom colour picker. The small preview shows how the menu and buttons will look.
Select Save. The change applies to everyone in your workspace.
Set your country, currency and time zone
In Settings, open Region & currency under Company.
Choose your Country. Local phone numbers typed by your team are saved in international format for that country, and callers are matched to contacts however the number was typed.
Choose your Currency. It is the default for new deals and for report totals.
Choose your Time zone and the day the week starts on. The time zone decides what counts as today, when things are due, how business hours are counted and the periods used in reports.
Select Save. Phone numbers typed from then on use the new country.
Create a business hours schedule
In Settings, open Business hours under Routing & service levels, then select New schedule.
Give the schedule a name, such as Standard Business Hours, and choose its time zone.
For each day, mark it open or closed and set the opening and closing times. Select Create schedule.
A schedule on its own changes nothing. Link it to an SLA policy (Settings, SLA policies under Routing & service levels) so that response and resolution deadlines only count during your business hours. A policy without a schedule counts every hour of every day.
You can keep several schedules, for example one for support and one for sales. Deleting a schedule removes it from any SLA policy that uses it.
Add public holidays and other closed days
Open a saved schedule with the pencil icon. Holidays can only be added once the schedule has been created.
Under Exceptions / Holidays, pick the Date, add a Note if you like (for example Madaraka Day), then select Add. The day is treated as closed for that schedule.
Remove a holiday with the bin icon next to it.
These hours control service deadlines in GoDesk. The hours your phone lines are open to callers, and what callers hear when you are closed, are set in your GoDesk Voice administrator panel. Keep both in step when your hours change.
Your own fields and drop-down lists
In Settings, open Fields & picklists under Company to add your own fields and drop-down lists to contacts, organisations, opportunities and tickets, and to rename priority labels, waiting reasons and break reasons.
Only add fields your team will really fill in. Every extra field is one more thing for agents to complete.
If something does not work
If a setting will not save or a page is missing, check that your role is Admin. If it still does not work, email GoDesk support at help@godesk.co.ke with your workspace address and a short description of what you tried.
